Former Big Brother Naija Season 6 housemate, Sammie, is under fire after being accused of scamming a man, Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby, of ₦4.45 million under the guise of securing a 2025 BBNaija slot.
In a viral video recorded by videographer Lucky Udu, Idakoh recounted how Sammie allegedly manipulated him into parting with millions, including borrowing funds and selling his car, based on empty promises. He said after his initial payment, Sammie requested another ₦1 million, insisting he had advanced his own money to secure the slot. When Idakoh hesitated, Sammie reportedly advised him to take a loan, assuring him the return would be worth it.
The situation worsened when a lender demanded collateral, prompting Idakoh to reach out again. Sammie, according to Idakoh, confirmed he had verified that the money would be refunded if the slot didn’t work out. Eventually, Idakoh said he had to sell his car to repay the ₦1.5 million loan.
What stung the most, he said, was being defrauded by someone he trusted and saw as a brother. Despite the release of the official BBNaija 2025 audition list, Idakoh’s name didn’t appear, and Sammie allegedly cut off all contact.
As of the time of reporting, Sammie has not responded to the allegations and has ignored a message from DAILY POST seeking his side of the story.
Nigerians, outraged by the claims, have taken to Sammie’s Instagram page to demand a refund. Comments ranged from disappointment to outright condemnation, with users calling him a scammer and urging him to return the money.
Sammie’s silence has only fueled speculation and backlash, as fans and observers await a response or legal intervention.
