Dalori Assumes Office as APC Acting National Chairman, Promises Unity and Reform

Date:

ABUJA – Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori has officially assumed the role of Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. His appointment is in line with Article 14 of the APC Constitution and the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dalori’s emergence was confirmed at a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held on Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, where members formally accepted Ganduje’s resignation.

In his acceptance speech, Dalori pledged to lead with transparency, inclusiveness, and unity, urging party stakeholders to remain focused on delivering good governance and strengthening the APC’s democratic structures.

He praised Ganduje for his contributions to the party and charged the NWC to prepare for the 2027 general elections by revitalising grassroots engagement and re-energising the party at all levels.

Expressing full support for President Tinubu’s reform agenda, Dalori reaffirmed the APC’s role as the political vehicle for national transformation. “We stand by the President in full loyalty and partnership,” he declared.

He also cautioned against disunity during this transitional period, urging members to prioritise party discipline, reconciliation, and communication.

“In the days ahead, I will share with you a practical roadmap to guide our work during this interim period,” he said. The plan will focus on mobilising members, engaging stakeholders, and reinforcing the party’s core principles.

Dalori concluded by calling on APC members to renew their commitment and work in unity. “Let us honour the past, serve the present, and prepare for a brighter future — as one united and determined APC family,” he said.
