Popular On-Air Personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, widely known as Do2dtun, has expressed deep concern over the state of music legend 2Face Idibia, following the singer’s recent public apology over his controversial remarks on male sexual commitment.
2Face, in a video broadcast, had apologized to his wife Natasha Osawuru and their children after facing backlash for stating that “men are not built to be sexually committed to one woman.” The apology sparked mixed reactions online.
Reacting via a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Do2dtun claimed the apology appeared coerced, suggesting that someone was manipulating the singer during a vulnerable period.
“Please I don’t like this 2Face I’m seeing. Something is not right at all,” he wrote. “He can express himself how he chooses to, but why always make him retract a video or make an apology always like a child? He is vulnerable, and someone is milking it. Whoever is holding that camera is wicked.”
Do2dtun further stated that the current behaviour is unlike 2Face, who is known for staying silent even during past controversies. “Someone is forcing him to be who he is not. 2Face hardly addresses anything… Something is wrong. He is regressing, and I hate it.”
The media personality urged the public not to harshly judge the singer for his original comments, noting that he was simply “speaking his truth.” He also questioned the motives behind the apology video, implying it served the interests of others rather than the veteran artiste himself.
Calling for empathy, Do2dtun concluded that 2Face “needs help” and should consider seeking therapy to navigate the personal and emotional challenges he may be facing.
