May Edochie has denied issuing any apology to her estranged husband, Yul Edochie, amid ongoing divorce proceedings, refuting a viral letter making the rounds on social media.
In a statement shared via Facebook by her lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, May described the alleged apology letter as a “desperate attempt to create a narrative when other efforts have failed.”
“May did NOT issue any apology. It was Yul who chose polygamy, and previously apologized. However, such apology would not alter the current legal situation,” the post read.
The legal team urged the public to disregard the false claims, affirming that May remains committed to her divorce case and her demand for damages due to adultery.
“She’s continuing to pursue the divorce proceedings and damages related to adultery,” the statement concluded.
The couple’s marital troubles became public in April 2022 when Yul Edochie introduced actress Judy Austin as his second wife. May subsequently filed for divorce in 2023, citing adultery and demanding N100 million in damages from Judy.
The latest development comes as both parties remain locked in a legal battle, with May insisting she has not backtracked or softened her stance through any apology.
