Besiktas Sign Tammy Abraham on Loan from AS Roma with €13m Buy Option

Date:

ISTANBUL — Turkish football giants Besiktas have confirmed the loan signing of English striker Tammy Abraham from AS Roma, with an option to make the deal permanent.

The 27-year-old forward arrived in Istanbul earlier this week and passed a medical before finalising a season-long loan deal for the 2025–2026 campaign, the club announced on Friday.

“A loan fee of €2 million will be paid to AS Roma for the 2025–2026 season,” Besiktas said in a statement, adding that if certain performance-related conditions are met, the deal could become permanent for a transfer fee of €13 million, payable in instalments until 2030.

The move marks a potential fresh chapter for Abraham, whose full name is Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham. He still has a year remaining on his contract with Roma.

Abraham joined the Serie A club in 2021 from Chelsea for €41 million and quickly became a key figure, helping Roma secure the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League title.

Most recently, he spent the 2024–2025 season on loan with AC Milan, where he scored 10 goals across all competitions.

The transfer is seen as a significant boost for Besiktas as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
