LAGOS — The office of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was gutted by fire on Tuesday night, sparking panic but resulting in no casualties.
The incident reportedly occurred around 7 p.m. in Lagos State. Sharing a video of the aftermath on her Instagram page, the actress confirmed the fire outbreak but expressed gratitude that no life was lost.
“This just happened today around 7 pm. My office caught fire,” Ojo wrote. “Thanks to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed as of the time of reporting.
This unfortunate event comes less than two months after Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, held a high-profile wedding with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, attracting widespread media attention.
