Skales Vows to Be a Better Man, Admits Past Mistakes in Relationships

LAGOS — Nigerian singer John Njenga-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has opened up about his past behavior in relationships, admitting he did not treat the women in his life with the maturity they deserved.

The ‘Shake Body’ crooner made the heartfelt confession on Tuesday via his verified X handle, where he shared his renewed commitment to growth and responsibility.

“I’ve been immature before but I vow to myself to be a real man to women — they deserve it,” Skales wrote.

The singer urged fellow men to show more kindness and empathy towards women, emphasizing the challenges women face in society. He added that being raised by a single mother has shaped his perspective on the importance of respect and affection for women.

“Love her till she don’t hurt no more… be kind and real to women… it ain’t easy being a woman,” he said. “Showing affection to a woman don’t make you a simp but a real man.”

Skales’ candid reflection has sparked conversations online, with many commending his honesty and maturity in acknowledging past flaws and choosing a path of positive change.
