Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea winger Noni Madueke for just over £50 million, in what would be one of the most high-profile transfers between the London rivals in recent years.
Sources indicate that the England international has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners, clearing a major hurdle and paving the way for a potential switch across the capital.
Both clubs have reportedly reached an agreement in principle regarding the transfer fee, though final negotiations on performance-related add-ons and contract structure are still ongoing.
Madueke, 23, is currently with Chelsea at the FIFA Club World Cup and came off the bench in their 2-0 semi-final win over Brazilian side Fluminense, helping the Blues secure a place in the final.
Since signing from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, the winger has made 92 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 20 goals. Before his stint in the Eredivisie, Madueke was part of Tottenham Hotspur’s academy, giving him deep ties across three major London clubs.
The move, if completed, would strengthen Arsenal’s attacking depth as they continue to chase domestic and European glory in the new season.
