Kenyan-American singer Victoria Kimani has revealed that she has never been romantically approached by Kenyan men, attributing it to a perceived lack of confidence among them.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Box Pod, the former Chocolate City signee shared her experience of dating and romantic encounters in her home country, noting that the only men who approach her in Kenya are usually foreigners.
“I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me, unless they are not from here,” Kimani said. “It’s like a lack of confidence or they just assume that I’m going to turn them down or they just don’t know how [to approach me]. It’s like they lack game.”
The Prokoto hitmaker advised men to build their self-assurance, maintain good hygiene, and develop proper communication skills when trying to woo women. She noted that poor or inappropriate approaches often lead to instant rejection.
Kimani has kept her love life largely private over the years, though she has previously been romantically linked with Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani and Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz—rumours neither artist ever confirmed publicly.
Her comments have since stirred conversation online, with many debating whether her status and celebrity presence have contributed to the hesitation from Kenyan men.
