A devastating explosion rocked the Abakpa area of Kaduna State on Tuesday, claiming the lives of two children, Imam, a 13-year-old boy, and Nasrin, a six-year-old girl. Three other residents were also injured in the blast.The explosion occurred near the former site of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), causing widespread fear among local residents.Although the cause of the blast is yet to be determined, security forces have arrived at the scene and are investigating the incident.One witness, who asked to remain anonymous, recounted his experience to *Daily Trust*. He explained that he was in the middle of bathing when he heard the explosion. Rushing outside, he found Imam, one of the victims, and tried to take him to the hospital, but the boy tragically died before they could get there.As of now, the full details surrounding the explosion remain unclear, but the community is left in shock and fear for their safety.
