Osimhen Transfer Talks Stall as Galatasaray Reject Napoli’s Demands

Date:

Negotiations between Napoli and Galatasaray for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen have stalled following a disagreement over financial terms, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Napoli reportedly proposed a new structure for the deal, seeking €40 million upfront, an additional €35 million by 2026, and the inclusion of a sell-on clause that would entitle them to a percentage of any future sale.

However, Galatasaray rejected the revised terms. The Turkish champions countered with a €35 million offer to be paid in installments until 2027 and rejected the inclusion of a sell-on clause outright.

The dispute over payment structure and long-term conditions has put the deal on hold, though sources indicate that talks could resume if either club adjusts its stance in the coming days.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards. While the 25-year-old is reportedly open to a new challenge, the breakdown in negotiations with Galatasaray could prompt interest from other top clubs monitoring the situation.

For now, the deadlock remains — and Osimhen’s next destination is still uncertain.
