Reality TV star Anita Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has expressed her desire to enter politics, citing frustration with the underdevelopment in Rivers State.
In a recent interview with Ebuka, the BBNaija alumna criticised the lack of progress in her home state compared to cities like Lagos and Abuja. She stressed the need for young people to be more involved in governance, noting that Rivers State is full of untapped talent and opportunities.
“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it,” Tacha said. “There are so many youths, so many talents there… if the government can see light into it, a lot can happen.”
Tacha emphasized that being involved in politics is more impactful than merely criticizing from the sidelines. While she didn’t share specific details, she confirmed plans are already in motion.
“It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it,” she added.
The media personality also revealed she intends to break the world record for the most makeup sessions completed in 24 hours, setting her target at 150 people.
