Nigerian gospel singer Chidinma Ekile has shared details of a powerful spiritual journey marked by isolation, prayer, and a near-death encounter.
The former Project Fame winner revealed she spent 40 days in solitude, seeking divine guidance through fasting and deep reflection. She described the experience as emotionally intense and spiritually transformative.
Chidinma said she spent nights outdoors, praying and singing to God, and felt a heightened awareness of His presence throughout the period.
During the retreat, she recounted a disturbing moment when she was spiritually attacked. Standing at the edge of a cliff in the dark, she said a strong voice urged her to jump. However, she was miraculously restrained by an unseen force that stopped her from taking the fatal step.
“It was more like I was in a theatre and God performed surgery on me and He shredded me. I have seen it all, and material things don’t move me anymore,” she said.
“The devil took me to the top of a cliff at night where everywhere was dark… When I was about to jump, I noticed that I was barricaded and it was impossible to jump. Something was just there.”
Her testimony has sparked emotional reactions from fans, many applauding her courage and spiritual strength.
