The member representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency of Taraba State in the House of Representatives, Jaafaru Yakubu, has unveiled a comprehensive empowerment programme aimed at improving livelihoods and boosting infrastructure across his constituency.
The event, held in Bali Local Government Area, drew a large gathering of beneficiaries, traditional rulers, youth organisations, religious groups, and political stakeholders.
As part of the initiative, Yakubu distributed 23 mini ambulances to strengthen emergency healthcare delivery, 80 motorcycles to improve local mobility and support youth empowerment, and 20 cars to assist individuals and facilitate community services. He also donated hospital equipment to upgrade healthcare facilities within the constituency.
In the agricultural sector, the lawmaker provided mini tractors, solar-powered water pumps, and gas-powered water pumps to aid farmers. Religious institutions also benefited, receiving solar inverters to promote the use of clean energy.
To promote youth engagement and sports development, football jerseys were distributed to local teams.
Yakubu’s intervention has been widely praised as a testament to effective representation and commitment to community development. The initiative is seen as a step towards enhancing human capital, healthcare access, agricultural productivity, renewable energy use, and youth inclusion in Taraba State.
