The Big Brother Naija 10/10 house witnessed another emotional twist as housemate Mide officially ended her budding relationship with fellow contestant Kayikunmi, following revelations of a love triangle involving Isabella.
During a heartfelt conversation on Tuesday night, Mide confronted Kayikunmi over his sudden shift of affection just two days after expressing interest in her. She described his actions as unfair and emotionally destabilising.
“I don’t think you should have said that you like somebody else. I’m not trying to police what you say, I’m just trying to say that this is just 48 hours,” Mide told him, visibly hurt.
Kayikunmi admitted to being entangled in a dilemma, claiming that Isabella had asked him to clarify his feelings and even confessed her attraction to him. He, however, maintained that he was not interested in Isabella, but in Mide—though he controversially attributed this to potential “sexual benefits.”
He clarified that nothing significant had happened between him and Isabella apart from a kiss.
Despite his attempt to downplay the situation, Mide stood her ground and requested space.
“It’s just a lot, I want to take a step back. I don’t wanna feel like this,” she said.
Kayikunmi tried to assert control, saying, “It’s me that is making the decision,” but Mide quickly pushed back.
“I’m also going to be involved in this decision-making; it’s going to affect me,” she stated. “If we didn’t have our conversation yesterday, would you have told her?”
Kayikunmi replied: “Yeah, from the jumjum, I was attracted to you. I liked you, that’s why I’m telling you everything that transpired.”
Still unconvinced, Mide said, “I appreciate the honesty, but it’s literally going to go round, and I would have a target on my back. I would be the home breaker. Right now, if I see her walk in here, my heart might cut.”
Meanwhile, Isabella also broke down in tears on Tuesday night during a conversation with her close friend, Thelma Lawson. She expressed pain over her stalled relationship with Kayikunmi, especially after learning he was attracted to another housemate.
According to Isabella, things had escalated quickly between them, and they were on the verge of having sex before he made his revelation.
